The 2008 Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport is jointly hosted by International Council of Sports Science and Physical Education ( ICSPE), the International Federation of Sports Medicine(FIMS), the International Olympic Committee(IOC), and the International Paralympic Committee(IPC), co-organized by the General  Administration of Sports of China and the People's Government of Guangdong Province. The convention will be held in Guangzhou, from 1, August to 5, August, 2008. It is a first ever scientific event held in China with the highest profile and largest attendance. More than 4,000 renowned researchers and professionals in sports and science will participate in this milestone scientific convention. The convention is an important part of Olympic Games and a prelude to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
