Rules for Submission 1. Abstract submissions are preferred being accepted electronically and must be submitted no later than January 31, 2008. 2. Abstracts must be written in carefully-revised English. 3. Abstracts that have not been prepared according to instructions (see the following page) will not be published in the proceedings. 4. Further details of presentation requirements will be available on acceptance of abstract (e.g., presentation time; equipment requirements).
Submission Steps 1. The abstract submission will preferably be done electronically through the convention's website, where the Abstract Submission Form may be downloaded, completed and directly sent to the convention's email address: icsemisscs@icsemis2008.org. Additionally an attached word file with the abstract text written according to the given guidelines should also be sent to the aforementioned email address. 2. Other way of abstract submission is by ordinary post-mail including a 3.5"disk containing a word file with your abstract. Send your abstract to 68, Qinglan Road, Ersha Island, Guangzhou, 510105, China. 3. The given deadline for abstract submission is January 31 2008. Abstracts received after this time will not be considered.
Notification of Programming Once your abstract is received, the Scientific Committee Secretariat will notify the contact author for its receipt and any needed corrections and clarifications to be made.
All abstracts will be forwarded by the Scientific Committee Secretariat to the Scientific Committee and will be independently reviewed. Authors may specify their preference for an oral or poster presentation, but the Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept or refuse an abstract, to designate papers either as poster or oral presentations, and to choose a suitable session for the abstract. A "blind" review system will be used when evaluating the abstracts.
By the end of June 2008, the contact author of each accepted abstract will be informed on the exact date, time and place of presentation.

Abstract instructions and on-line submission site will be available in October 2007. If you have previously submitted an abstract or session proposal, please use your established login and password. Preparing the Abstract Accepted abstracts will be published in the Proceedings of the 2008 International Convention on Science, Education & Medicine in Sport.
Page Format: [White Paper, Size A4 (297x210mm), maximum 600 words (1 page) Margins: Left, Top, Bottom, Right 2.0cm]
Do not use brand names in the abstract.
Title: The title should be brief; Times New Roman 14pt, bold, alignment left, upper case, single-spacing
Authors: The first and last names of the authors will be included in the author block. Times New Roman 12pt, bold, alignment left, single-spacing
Institutions: Institutions of all authors will be included. Times New Roman 9pt, alignment left, single-spacing
Order: Institution, Department, Section, City and Country [Each institution referring to the corresponding author by an indicating index number and using one single line]
Text: The abstract must be informative, including INTRODUCTION, METHODS, summary of RESULTS, and DISCUSSION /CONCLUSION statement using these headings. It is unsatisfactory to state, “The results will be discussed.” Times New Roman 10pt, justified, single-spacing
Tables & Graphs Should be prepared using APA (5th Ed.) Tables should not duplicate results presented elsewhere in the manuscript, (e.g. in graphs).
References: Should be prepared using the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th Ed)
Abstracts of experimental studies must include data to substantiate the conclusions being drawn. It is not satisfactory to simply describe what was found verbally in general terms. The lack of inclusion of experimental data may result in the abstract being rejected.
The abstract must be written in English.

The Program Committee will determine the method of presentation, which is based on submitter’s preference. Submitters will be given the presentation options of PPT preferred, poster preferred, or indifferent. Due to the tremendous growth in the size of the program, the majority of the presentations will be organised into poster format.
PPT Sessions Presentation of the scientific papers in a PPT session will be limited to 10 minutes, followed by a 5-minute discussion period. Time limits will be strictly enforced.
Poster Sessions The poster sessions consist of an exhibit of material that the author(s) personally attends for an assigned period of time. Posters’ dimensions must be 0.84m width by 1.18m height.
